WE ARE

ALTO CAJAMARCA COFFEE GROWERS

It was on 2016 when we, 40 farmers, all of them life-long friends, whose families had grown in those beautiful landscapes, put our dreams, wishes, and ambitions together, and formed the Coffee Grower Organization Alto Cajamarca, that slowly started to transform into a life project which would continue with everyone’s effort and dedication.

Working shoulder with shoulder and always hopeful, we organized ourselves, contributing each one with their wisdom to develop a collective work, looking for the community wellbeing; with the pass of time, we received with open arms other producers who willingly wanted to be part of this entrepreneurship, and developed teamwork that allowed to conserve the natural resources and the environment in which we live, laugh and make families, and that was the livelihood of everyone from a young age.

Today we already are more than 73 coffee growers, the ones who conform this big dream, where each one works in solidarity, performing an innovative crop in their processes which permit us to guarantee the quality of an excellent coffee, made with the best products that our rich nature offers, creating a name and recognition of us and our quality in Europe and Asia. We are proud to be Coffee Growers of Alto Cajamarca, and that is clear in every sip of our coffee. Welcome to this experience.

GEOGRAPHY

JAÉN - CAJAMARCA

Located in the high tropical jungle of the Peruvian northeast, the provinces of San Ignacio and Jaen that bask in a warm-weather during the hole year. And it is from there, in their highest zones, between 1500 and 2000 meters above sea level, near the humid peaks, that nature in its endless wisdom, compensate this hot environment with an average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and recurrent, refreshing rainy days, which makes the ideal scenery to originate one of the best coffees of the world.

PURPOSE

Showing the whole world that Alto Cajamarca makes a coffee of excellence in a 100% sustainable environment, thanks to the union and passion of our organization.

KIND OF COFFEE

ARABIC COFFEE

Our main product is Arabic coffee, cultivated in the ground of clayey silt with organic material, under the dense shadow of the plants of Huabas, Cedros, Pacaes, Pajuros, native species, and fruit-trees common of the zone. After it is recollected, the coffee goes through different steps of a process: Washed, Honey and Natural. We have varietals such as: Typica, Mundo Novo, Bourbon, Pache, Caturra Roja y Amarilla, and Castilla coffee.

CERTIFICATION

The Coffee Growers Cooperative Alto Cajamarca has organic certification for markets of the United States and Europe.
